Hubby and I went to the Phoenix Zoo today for FREE! That’s right, because we’re BofA cardholders we can get into the zoo and the Phoenix Museum for free the first weekend every month.

It was pretty fun to see some of the animals up close and almost personal like the tiny monkey (forget which type he was). The little guy got pretty daring once his trainer left the area, we could’ve touched him if it wasn’t prohibited. All the big cats were sound asleep and too far to see up close. I’ve seen a Bald Eagle before but that Golden Eagle was beautiful. The highlight for me was all the squirrels running around. A few of them came right up to us which made my day, they’re so cute. Oh and we found a mama squirrel and babies, too precious! All within a foot or two of us, it was too cool. Sorry, I really love squirrels, they’re spunky little things.

I think next time we’re heading out to the Wildlife Zoo even if it costs a pretty penny. I felt jipped out of the big cats, I can look at those big “kitty’s” all day long and still be amazed at their size and beauty. I know our two cats were all over our shoes trying to decipher what mischief we’d been up to without them. I think we’ve been labeled traitors for the day.
